GreenFerry’s garden project at Hawthorn Bank has been chosen as part of Edinburgh Shoreline, an exciting, new, community centred initiative celebrating the city’s 27km coastline.

The project involves people living and working in the shoreline communities from South Queensferry to Joppa. An early highlight is a major exhibition in the John Hope Gateway at Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden

GreenFerry regularly features in the local newspaper, and has appeared in The Scotsman and Evening News, as well as other publications such as Green Spaces, The Clan Bullletin for Conservation
Volunteers, Interaction (Corporate magazine for A-plant), and a conservation guide entitled “Grants for Conservation Volunteers”.

We have also taken stalls at various events such as Hopetoun House Open Day, QueensFerry Raft Race, The Ferry Fair, nearby Newton’s Activity Day.  We find this a good way to talk to people, and to recruit new members.
