Participatory Engagement

Participatory Engagement

Three of our members are trained in participatory engagement following a community project we took part in, in 2005, called Vision for Queensferry.

We now make a point of engaging with the community whenever we are about to start on a new project, or develop an old one.  We find that this is a useful way of gathering opinions, and learning so that we can adjust our project accordingly.

Over the years, our community has told us a lot, for example, the best place to site a new bench in Dalmeny, and where best to site litter-bins along the cyclepath.  They have also supported our plans to create a mountain bike track (we have 300 supporters on Facebook to tell us so), and they were extremely helpful in adding their comments just before the Ferry Glen Woodland restoration.
