Fund-raising is a constant part of what we do.  Over the years, we have linked into many networks, and
grant funders, to find out about money available for conservation projects.  Most of our projects are funded from grants.  Currently we are working on installing a mountain-bike track in an abandoned woodland. The total cost of this, when finished, will be over £100,000.  Half that has already been raised in grant money.

We are incredibly grateful for all the support we get.  In recent years we have been well-supported by corporate groups who either fund our newsletter, send us teams of volunteers, provide equipment for free, or supply additional funds for individual projects.  Please check out our list of sponsors.

Every year, in the spring, we publish our newsletter, called Ferry Attractive.  This carries updates of our current projects, and reports on the progress other woodland groups in the area, namely The Ferry Glen and Echline Community Woodland. The money we raise from the newsletter, through gift aided donations, pays for the village flowers, and the group insurance.  Over the years, our newsletter has been sponsored by Agilent Technologies, Johnson Control, Edinburgh Airport, and The Green Insurance Company.  Our sponsor’s logo appears at the end of the newsletter with a note of thanks. Ferry Attractive is now delivered to every household in South Queensferry – over 3,000 households.

For many years, “Joyce and Jim” enhanced GreenFerry funds by busking in local supermarkets.  Thanks are due to both Scotmid and Tesco for their support.
